Winter Tracks

Feb. 4–13
Are you up for winter’s most adventurous event? Because this outrageous outdoor celebration of skiing, snowmobiling, dog sledding, sleigh rides, snowshoeing and sightseeing makes other winter festivals cold by comparison. Tackle hundreds of miles of trails through Minnesota’s most gorgeous terrain and enjoy dozens of activities for every family member—including the chance to
win a trip back next summer. Add in comfy lodging, hearty dining, unique shops and galleries, and it’s a week’s worth of winter’s best!

More reasons
to come back:

Valentine’s Day – a three-day weekend retreat. Line up a gourmet dinner, a candlelit XC ski trail, and any type of lodging you’d like. Call 888-922-5000, and we’ll take care of the rest.

Presidents’ Day – Feb. 21 – another three days away! Take the opportunity to share a spectacular long weekend on the shore.

11th Annual Inuit Premiere March 19th, Sivertson Gallery. It’s quite possibly the largest display of Inuit art in the lower 48, and the opening night reception is even bigger!

Winter Plein Air Festival & Exhibit - Friday, Feb 4th

Winter Plein Air
Festival & Exhibit

Friday, Feb. 4
Look what happens when you combine cabin fever, shimmering snow and pure painting talent—an artistic event you could find only in Grand Marais. Get an unique view of the season through the eyes of a few hardy artists who’ve gone outdoors to capture snow-kissed conifers, frosty lakes and a host of winter-inspired works. The reception starts at 6:00pm, and you’ll also get to meet the masters behind the massive snow sculptures presiding over the Winter Tracks event. More at grandmaraisartcolony.org
