An evening of piano and dance: Oct. 8;
Silent Auction at 6p.m., Curtain at 7:30p.m.
As part of the North Shore Music Association’s annual fundraiser, this stirring performance opens in a Russian workshop, where a carpenter (Andreas Denk) who’s more dedicated to liquor than he is to carpentry tells his story by dancing to the works of Leonid Fedorov, Wiebe Gotink, and music from the films of Mastroani. Pianist Brook Cuden enhances the performance with works of Rachmaninoff, Mahler and Brahams until piano and dance become one.
